Lars Virkli is a danish rap veteran deeply rooted into danish underground rap and it’s culture. He is known from his solo project, Klaes MC, and the rap group Tudsegammelt, and in later years Asbestose with his brother and producer Ingredijens. Ingredijens has also produced his album, Udslukt, with the same title as the song.
Lars Virkli’s Udslukt has an overall theme of death. Lars had the outlines of the story for the music video and after a few creative sessions with Lars and Jens we had a more tangible idea of a story with a creepy vibe and the theme of one's own mortality. The video is a celebration of life.
Udslukt means extinguished in Danish. The video was shot at Dyrskuepladsen in Roskilde, the year 2020 on some of the days where the 50th Roskilde Festival would have been held if it was not for a global pandemic. We felt it was a beautiful and fitting way to honor the Orange Feeling that had for a brief moment been extinguished.
