As a graduate from the Danish School of Media and Journalism and his studies in Multimedia Journalism at the Lebanese American University, Mads Joakim has a distinct ability to convey narratives through his lens.
His notable work includes an Award of Excellence in the College Photographer of the Year for his work from the palestinian refugee camp Shatila, a 1st prize for his documentary project “Fjordvang Efterskole,” which was also recognized with a 2nd place in the Danish Picture of the Year, and was later published as the photobook ‘Vokseværk’. His work has been published in several of the biggest Danish and international papers and magazines.
